We built walls!

We built walls at our Graystone Walton Campus!  We didn’t build walls to keep people out of church. We built walls to bring more people into church, especially to reach more children and students with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Last August (It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year.), when we launched our Graystone Walton Campus in a permanent facility, we only renovated 9,000 of the 15,000 square feet of the main building on the property.  Our Graystone Kids worshipped in a makeshift kids area in the front lobby with each classroom divided by pipe and drape.  It’s amazing that our Walton Campus grew exponentially with this set up, and I truly appreciate our children ministry team’s positive, “can do” attitude.
Well, over the past few months, we have renovated the 6,000 square foot student and children’s area, and it is incredible.  We have tripled the size our our kids space and every room has walls, carpet, lights, etc. God is good!  We already have a Certificate of Occupancy for the new space and the kids worshipped in it last Sunday (See pictures above).  It has not been completely furnished.  We simply moved in all the furniture and equipment from the previous pipe and drape kids area.FullSizeRender

In order to finish the $237,000 renovation project, we needed to raise $80,000.  So 2 months ago, we began a giving campaign called “Putting Down Roots” (You can read all about it in the graphic below.).  So far, $57,000 has been given to “Putting Down Roots” (PRAISE GOD!) and the final day of the giving campaign is this Sunday, August 7.  So, we need $23,000 to be given to reach our goal.  I am trusting God for all of it to come in by this Sunday, and I would like to ask you to pray the same with me.

If you have not given to the “Putting Down Roots” Campaign, and you would like to be a part of God changing students and children’s lives in Walton County for all eternity, then you can give online or bring your special offering to church this Sunday.  The Howes family has already given to the “Putting Down Roots” campaign. We gave because we believe in our Walton Team, and we want to play a small role in the life of every child and student who comes to know Jesus through our Walton Campus.  It’s an honor to be a part of what God doing in our church and community.
