We have been blown away by God’s blessing.

Last Saturday night, Jennifer, Jessie and I (Jessie affectionately refers to the three of us as our “short family”.) were eating dinner with some great friends at Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse. BTW, great friends getting together around a table full of great food is one of God’s simple blessings in life.  As we were ordering our food, a lady, who I think is the owner of the restaurant, walked up to me and said, “Pastor?”.  I said, “Yes.” And she said, “One of you church members wanted to buy your family’s dinner.”  And she handed me $80 cash (4 twenty dollar bills). Wow!  We were blown away.  In a related story, I went ahead and ordered the filet mignon and shrimp combo. 🙂

Over the last couple of weeks, Jennifer and I have received more love, support, prayers, encouragement, and generosity than we have received at almost any other time in our 20+ years of ministry together.  It has been overwhelming, and we have been blown away by God’s blessing.  God presence has been so strong in my life over the last few weeks.  It’s hard to put into words.  It is kind of like experiencing a Graystone Night of Worship every day in my walk with Him.  A tremendous peace and JOY (Malachi 4:2) comes when we know that we are right in the center of God’s will.

The floodgates of Heaven are opening (Malachi 3:10), and we are beginning to experience something similar to the first church in the book of Acts.  God is so good.  And it’s a honor to worship and serve Him with our Graystone Church family.

They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46b-47
