Here at Graystone one of our 4 G’s is to “Go and Make Disciples”. We want to go outside the walls to BE THE CHURCH locally AND globally.
And this past weekend we did just that!
On Saturday over 60 folks from Graystone volunteered to provide a Christmas Party for foster and less fortunate children at Stars and Strikes bowling alley. People assisted with the party, donated gifts, sorted stockings and provided baked goods. It was a huge success! Over 200 kids bowled, played arcades, ate pizza, had their faces painted and received stockings full of gifts, among other things. The Event Coordinator said this year’s party was the best they’ve ever had! Special thanks to Ken Strickland, Mandy McKnight and Bruster’s!
Also, as some of you know, I had the opportunity to go to Brazil last week with The Hope Epidemic to deliver shoeboxes full of Christmas gifts to different orphanages. It was amazing! We gave out over 100 of them and most were put together by families at Graystone. It was so great to see the kids’ faces light up when they opened their shoebox. For many that will be the only present they open this Christmas.
It’s such an honor to serve as the Missions Pastor at Graystone. We have an unbelievable church full of people with hearts to reach out and serve those whom God cares so much for!
