“What if Graystone was known as the church that cared for orphans?”
James 1:27 says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
Jesus doesn’t suggest we care for orphans; He commands it. And because of that, I’m excited to let everyone know that Graystone is starting a new partnership with The Hope Epidemic. The Hope Epidemic’s main purpose is to equip churches to care for orphans. So over the next year we will be beginning to build a relationship with an orphanage in Brazil to love on kids and spread hope. One of the ways we will do that is by sending short-term mission teams there. If you are interested in going on our first ever Brazil trip, you can sign up here.
The Director of The Hope Epidemic, Jono Long, and I are heading to Brazil this week to start laying the groundwork for next summer. Please be praying for safe travels and opportunities for the gospel to be heard and seen. I’m excited to see what God has in store!
