I am blown away by the sheer number of people who contributed to this year’s Christmas Offering.  According to our Admin Team we had many, many people give for the very first time.  This is so encouraging because it means Graystone is not only growing numerically but also spiritually.

I was also excited to hear that dozens of teenagers and hundreds of children gave of their “own” money.  One of the best life lessons we can teach our kids is that we cannot out-give God.  On Sunday, Katie and Brie showed me a cardboard box full of the children’s envelopes, coins and dollar bills.  It reminded me of Jesus’ Story of the Widow’s Offering. Thank you so much to EVERYONE who gave what God laid on your heart to give…both young and old.

I know that many people are wanting to know exactly how much was given and if we reached our goal of $200,000.  I will be announcing the total amount given during the Christmas Services on December 23/24.  It’s hard for me to wait until then, but I want us to celebrate it together as a church family.  This may be hard to believe, but there are only a handful of people who read my blog outside of my mom and Aunt Sissy.

If you missed last Sunday or have not been able to give to the Christmas Offering, it is not too late.  You can bring your offering by the church office sometime this week or give online here.  Let’s keep praying for God to do what only He can do!

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
