What does the cross mean to you?

Last Sunday at Graystone, I talked about the cross and what it means… to those who are perishing, the cross is foolishness but to those who are BEING SAVED, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18).  I’m so glad that God chose to use weak and imperfect people (1 Corinthians 1:27), and I get to be a part of something so much bigger than myself.  If you missed the message, The Comfortable Cross, you can watch it by clicking here.

I would love to get a little discussion going on the blog and hear your thoughts on the cross.

What does the cross mean to you?

Let’s hear it.

  1. For me the cross is a symbol of God’s love and sacrifice for me. When I struggle with being obedient in a certain area it reminds me that God loves me and calls me to be obedient for my own good. It is a constant reminder that I can do nothing on my own yet anything is possible through faith in Him.

  2. The cross means to me that God let his only son suffer an awful death because of his LOVE for me. It makes me fully aware that he loves me so much and with him nothing is impossible. It also reminds me it is my duty and desire to serve him to the best of my ability. Nealie
