Graystone Serves is one of the best days of the year at Graystone Church. Instead of having our normal Sunday worship services, we gave people an opportunity to SERVE our community in the name of Jesus. Yesterday over 600 volunteers were the “hands and feet of Jesus”. We worked at our local parks and schools. Painted at the Gwinnett County DFACS. We cleaned up local ministry facilities like The Path Project and a Youth House in Monroe. Several of our families put together care packages and delivered them to our local firemen and police officers.
Jim, our Missions Pastor who organized the event, and I had a blast driving around to the different work sites and seeing Graystone volunteers in blue iServe shirts demonstrating the love of Jesus. It was great to see entire families serving God together. The Graystone Kids are learning to serve God and others at an early age. God has called us not simply “to go to church” but to BE THE CHURCH.
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in Graystone Serves! It is an honor to serve God with you. Let’s continue to DOMINATE our community with the love of Jesus. The best is yet to come!
