Who are you bringing to Jersey Day?

Jersey Day at Graystone Church is one of our largest outreach events of the year.  It is an opportunity for EVERYONE to invite their teammates to church.  This year Jersey Day will be Sunday, April 29 at all 3 services: 9:00am, 10:30am, and 12:00pm.

EVERYONE at church (kids, students, adults, staff, band, parking team, etc.) is encouraged to wear their favorite jersey.  If you are currently on a team (tennis, lacrosse, softball, baseball, swim, track, soccer, cheerleading, dance, golf, polo, etc.), it is a great opportunity to invite your fellow players, coaches, parents, and siblings to church.  One year, we picked up our Pee Wee Purple Power Softball Team at the ball field in a Hummer limo.  Almost the entire team along with parents and siblings came to church and several of the families are now on the Graystone Team.

As we did last year (Here’s a picture of the 2011 Jersey Day winning team), we will award a FREE pizza party to the team that has the highest percentage of players in attendance at Graystone on Sunday, April 29.  Please take advantage of this easy opportunity to invite your friends and teammates to church.  This could be the day that their lives change for all eternity.   We will have invite cards available on Sunday for you to pass out to your teams.

Who are you bringing to Jersey Day 2012?

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”  Romans 10:14-15, 17
