Children without a Home in Gwinnett County

Jennifer and I went to an orientation meeting Monday night to take our next step in becoming a Resource Family for the Gwinnett County Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS).  We learned that there are currently 365 children “in the system” who need foster care and there are only 64 foster homes in Gwinnett County.  Even us public school folks can figure out the math on this one.

The Howes family is moving forward in obedience to God to do our part.  And we are praying about the role that Graystone Church needs to play in helping 365 kids find a safe, loving home.  LET’S DO THIS!

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27
