Significant Growth in Student Ministry

This school year, we have seen significant growth in our student ministry at Graystone Church.  Our high school ministry (GSM) has grown 100% doubling in weekly attendance.  And our middle school ministry (Up & Out) has grown by 50%.  God is up to some big things with our students, and I cannot wait to see all that He does in and through their lives.

I have noticed in 2011 that parents are making it a priority to get their students involved at church.  I’m proud of you, parents. Keep it up!

Here are a few upcoming events that I would like to request your prayers:

1. Middle School Disciple Now is this weekend, February 18-20.

2. High School Camp Weekend is March 11-13.

3. Summer Camp Registrations.  High School is going back to Look Up Lodge and Middle School is going to Centrifuge.  Finances are tough right now and many families are making sacrifices, so their kids can go to camp.  Others have donated scholarships, so kids can go to camp.  It was at Centrifuge in 1986 that Jesus changed my life forever.  I’m praying the same for many of our Graystone students.

If your child needs a scholarship to Camp or you would like to donate a scholarship, please contact our Student Pastor Nate Rector: nate@graystonechurch.com.  We are not going to let money keep any student from having a life-changing week.  God will provide the resources.  Also, you can get in touch with Nate to sign your child up for Dnow, CWeekend, Look Up or Centrifuge.

I really appreciate Nate Rector, Lauren Vinson, Jamal Quattlebaum, Chris Hunt and all of our incredible student ministry volunteers.  They are doing an amazing job helping our students “know God and make God known”.  And we are seeing the growth and spiritual fruit of their hard work.  Thank you!

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.” John 15:16

    • Erik, your counsel has helped our student ministry more than you know. Thank you for your investment in Graystone Church! And I’m sorry that you got a stomach ache hanging out with me for a couple of days.
