We’ve started clearing land and moving dirt on our Graystone Ozora Campus.  The football/soccer/lacrosse/multipurpose field is under construction (See video below).  God will use this ball field to impact hundreds of kids for Christ.

Thank you for giving to our 2012 Christmas Offering to make this possible.

Last night, Day 3 of Sports Camp 2012, was the largest attendance in the history of Sports Camp.  And even though our facility was close to maximum capacity, almost everything ran smoothly.  I cannot say thank you enough to our dedicated volunteers.  You ALL are amazing!  Everyone on the team is doing an incredible job:  parking team, check in team, greeters, small groups leaders, band, tech team, coaches, teachers, Katie, Rookie, facilities team, snack ladies, sign holders, floaters, bathroom attendants, prayer warriors, nurses…every single person involved in Sports Camp.  Let’s keep up the hard work for one more night.

Also, we have a huge prayer request for tonight.  During the 3rd-5th grade teaching time, Jennifer will be sharing the gospel and bringing kids to a point of decision.  Let’s pray for God to move in our kids hearts and for dozens of kids to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Here’s video of the Day 3 closing song from me and Jessie’s vantage point:

Day 1 of Sports Camp is in the books.  We had 630 (k-5th graders) campers, hundreds of volunteers, and dozens of parents checking things out.  I want to thank all the Graystone staff and volunteers for all your hard work.  You guys are amazing!

Here’s a video of the closing song of Day 1.  It will give you an idea of how many people are involved at Sports Camp.  Enjoy.

As of last night, there were 620 kids and counting pre-registered for Sports Camp.  This is almost twice as many as last year.  We SERIOUSLY need all hands on deck.

If you are a responsible adult/teenager and are a part of Graystone Church (or live within a hundred mile radius), we need you to show up tonight at 5:30 to serve at Sports Camp.  Please park off the intern house driveway.  Thank you in advance!

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs tosuch as these.”  Matthew 19:14

1.  I’ve received tons of positive feedback from last Sunday’s tag team message, Lies Women Believe.  Apparently, the First Lady of Graystone did pretty good.  You can watch the message here.

2.  Sports Camp is only 10 days away.  You can sign your child up here.  Also, we will be having a workday on Saturday, June 2, at 8AM to get the outside facility/fields ready.  And we will be moving furniture and decorating the inside of the building on Sunday, June 3, at 1:15 PM.

3. The Man Series begins on Sunday, June 3.  Each Sunday we will have competitions outside on the front patio/lawn for EVERYONE to participate.  And there will be competitions during the service that you will need to sign up for the Sunday before.  So, our first competition sign ups will be this Sunday, May 27.  If too many men sign up, the names will go into a lottery.

ALL OF THE MEN are encouraged to participate in the beard growing contest to be judged on June 17 (Father’s Day).  Awards will be given in multiple beard growing categories (I.e. thickness, originality, etc.).  I’m the frontrunner for “weakest beard”.

4.  Monroe, Monroe, Monroe…everywhere I turn, God keeps putting Monroe on my heart.  As many of you know, Monroe is the target area for our first expansion campus.  We are in serious prayer and strategic planning for the best time and team to launch Graystone Monroe.  Please pray that God would lead us in His perfect timing to go multi-site.   Also, you can pray about being a part of the Graystone Monroe Launch Team.

5.  We will have our next Baptism Celebration on Sunday, June 24.  Our baptism classes for adults, students and children will be Sunday, June 10, at 1:15PM.  A special Man Series lunch will be provided.  I will post more details and online sign ups in a future blog post.

I was blown away when Katie told me that 90 preschool kids participated in our first ever Preschool Sports Camp.  Are you kidding me? That is a TON of 2, 3, and 4 year olds!  Another highlight of the 3 day event is that our 4th and 5th graders served as leaders.

I am so pumped about our Graystone Kid’s Ministry.  It is EXPLODING!  Katie and her team are doing a tremendous job of sharing the love of Jesus with our kids.  I cannot wait to see all that God does through our next generation.  God is great!

Here are a few pics for last week’s Preschool Sports Camp:

Sports Camp 2011 was AWESOME! Over 500 kids participated and dozens of them made first time commitments to JUMP into faith in Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful for our incredible staff team and our army of over 200 volunteers.  God is using you to DOMINATE our community with the love of Jesus Christ!

Below is the 2011 SportS Camp Highlight Video.  Wojtczak got some incredible camera angles and video shots.  Check it out!
