Yesterday at 2PM we had a prayer walk at the future campus of Graystone Walton.  I was a little late because I was talking with many new members of Graystone after our Newcomers Lunch.  It was our largest Newcomers Lunch in recent history.  PRAISE GOD!

As I arrived to the new property in Monroe, the front parking lot was filled with cars.  When I entered the building, I could hear singing coming from the part of the building that will be the future auditorium. It was amazing to see a group of Graystoners gathered in a circle worshipping God and praying in this new space.  Right now, it is an un-airconditioned warehouse.  In the near future, it will be a place of worship where lives will be changed for all eternity, and God will be glorified.  I just got chill bumps.

Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.  He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of Heaven.” Genesis 28:16-17

Cooper did great, and the surgery was a huge success. PRAISE GOD! Cooper’s heart was in better condition than the doctor thought and the doctor didn’t have to do one of the procedures that he had planned.  So, the surgery was one hour shorter than expected.  Little Coop is recovering in the hospital.

Thank you EVERYONE for praying.  God answers prayer and is still in the miracle business.  The beat goes on.  Team Cooper is STRONG!

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:19-20

Yesterday after each service at Graystone Ozora, I had the opportunity to pray with several people.  I am continuing today to pray for those requests.  I am praying today for…

  • A young couple who is trusting God for the conception of a child
  • A couple of wives who would like jobs closer to home and church
  • A little boy who needs God to heal his heart
  • A young man who rededicated his life yesterday
  • A mom who is praying for the salvation of her adult son, daughter in law and grandchildren
  • A young marriage to be restored
  • A grandmother and mom who were spontaneously baptized
  • A mom who feels called to minister to children with disabilities

Please join me in prayer.

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19

Tyler is in training to become a great staff husband.

Tyler is in training to become a great staff husband.

There are definitely more than 99 kids at Sports Camp.  Actually, with limiting the age group to completed K-5th grade, we have a manageable number of kids to minister to this Sports Camp.  This year has been so well led and organized.  And every night I am blown away by our incredible staff, staff spouses, and amazing volunteers.  Graystone is a church full of servant leaders (Mark 10:45).

Tonight during the teaching time the gospel will be clearly presented and the older elementary kids will have an opportunity to commit their lives to Jesus Christ.  Small Group Leaders will follow up with each child in his/her group and make sure they understand the gospel. Let’s pray for the ONE in each small group.  In fact, let’s be bold and pray all day today for DOZENS of kids’ lives to be changed for all eternity.

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:7

Motorcycle Jump from Sports Camp 2011

Motorcycle Jump from Sports Camp 2011

Katie, Brie, Carolyn, our Graystone staff, and our entire Graystone Kids Team have been working really hard to get ready for Sports Camp 2014.  It is only 3 days away!  Here are 5 Things you should know:

1. There are already more kids preregistered for Sports Camp this year than ever. PRAISE GOD!

2. We need as many volunteers as possible on Sunday at 1:30PM to get the Ozora Campus ready for Sports Camp.   We specifically need men to move furniture and line the fields.   There will be something for EVERYONE to do.

3. We need coaches to volunteer for baseball, softball and art. This is a great opportunity for men to step up and serve. If you have a high school student who plays one of these sports, he/she would be perfect.

4. Sports Camp is one of my favorite weeks of the year at Graystone because EVERYONE is serving each night, and it’s a great opportunity to fellowship and get to know each other. I’m really looking forward to meeting many new Graystone folks and making new friends. If you are looking to get connected at Graystone, there is no better way to do it than to volunteer to serve at Sports Camp.

5. Let’s pray together and trust God to change dozens of elementary kids’ lives for all eternity. This is what Sports Camp is all about. And God is gracious enough to allow each of us an opportunity to be a part of it.

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19
