A big THANK YOU goes out to Clint Frazier and Austin Meadows for shooting the videos with me for Jersey Day at Graystone Church. I had an absolute blast, and I know everyone enjoyed watching them take me yard. These two young men who represent our local high schools and communities are both class acts and the real deal. Let’s pray for God to continue to bless their baseball careers.
I have a feeling these videos just might be worth something one day. Too bad I don’t have video footage of me striking out Brett Favre. I had to work it in one more time. BTW, my favorite part of the video is wearing my 1992 Nike Sharks which I failed to highlight in the Clint Frazier video.

1. It’s hard to put into words how excited I am about this year’s Christmas Offering. Gifts are already pouring in. I’m BLOWN AWAY already and the offering isn’t until Sunday. I was talking with a dad this week that had a family meeting. They have decided to have a few less presents under the tree and are giving the extra money to the Christmas Offering. This is a great opportunity to put Christ at the center of our lives and Holiday season. Also, it is never too early to start teaching our kids about being good stewards of God’s money.
2. Over 2000 people have already reserved FREE tickets for our Christmas Services at Graystone Church. The 3:30PM service on Monday, December 24 is already “Sold Out” and the 5:00PM service on Sunday, December 23 is almost FULL. There are only a few seats left for that one. If you haven’t reserved your seat, let me encourage you to go ahead and do so. Here’s the link to reserve your tickets online: Graystone Christmas Tickets. Also, the Christmas Service is going to be so much FUN for the entire family. And it really is the best service of the year to invite someone to Graystone.
3. The service this Sunday, December 16, is going to be amazing (9:00am/10:30am/12:00pm). KATB, Kyle and the Band, are singing 2 of my favorite Christmas songs, and the creative team has put together a hilarious, classic Graystone video titled Operation Yuletide. I think EVERYONE will be challenged by the message God has laid on my heart. Hopefully, it will be “one of my good ones”.
4. We would like EVERYONE on the Graystone Walton Launch Team to wear their 03.03.13 T-shirts to church this Sunday. If you are on the team and do not have a T-shirt, you could swing by the church office and pick one up or contact elliott@graystonechurch.com. It’s hard to believe that we are less than 80 days away from the Grand Opening of our first expansion campus. God is pulling together an incredible staff and volunteer team. We will share more in the weeks to come.
5. I have not started my Christmas shopping. If anyone has some good ideas or knows what Jennifer might want, please let me know. I’m pretty sure she is hoping for a gift or two under the tree.

1. I would love to see the Georgia Bulldogs fans pack out Graystone Church on Sunday…win or loss in the SEC Championship. For the record, I am pulling for the Georgia Bulldogs. The state of Alabama seriously needs a pro sports team. And the Mobile Bay Bears doesn’t count.
2. Santa Claus will be at Graystone on Sunday to take FREE pictures with you, your kids or your entire family. Click here if you want to know why.
3. The elf suit and camera added about 50 pounds to my appearance. And the “empty calories” have not helped. BTW, thank you so much to EVERYONE who has given me bags of Chewy Sprees. You are enabling me and feeding my addiction. But thank you. 
4. We’re kicking off a new series Sunday called Christmas at Graystone. If you haven’t been to church in a few weeks or months, this would be a good Sunday to come back. Christmas is a great time of year to refocus our lives on what’s truly important.
5. Now that all my favorite football teams (high school, college, NFL, fantasy) are eliminated from a championship, it is now officially basketball season in the Howes family. This is more sad than you know. Not really. I’m just being melodramatic.

1. Robert Nkemdiche, the nation’s #1 football recruit and the kid who tried to take my head off in this video, sits behind Joelan in “Home Economics” class.
2. Joelan’s homeroom teacher, Chaunte Lowe, is competing in the Olympics.
3. God is moving faster than Usain Bolt on Graystone’s first expansion campus in Monroe.
4. We are giving away $12,000 at Graystone’s 12:00pm service this Sunday.
5. Instead of simply “going to church” on September 2, we will “be the church” as we serve our community with our 2nd Annual Graystone Serves.
