First off, I can’t tell you how amazing it is to be a guest blogger today. I’m so overwhelmed with emotion that I’m really not sure what to blog about. The band ‘Coldplay’ is awesome…Sorry, they just popped up on my iTunes playlist as I was typing. Chris Martin (lead singer of Coldplay) probably has one of the coolest voices out there. How can somebody sing in that high of a range and make it sound effortless? I wonder what Simon would say about him in an audition. Speaking of auditions, I will be holding auditions for ‘Kyle and the Band’ (not official name) on March 30th. So far I’ve had about 20 people sign up to audition. That’s gonna make for a long evening. Hopefully, they’ll be some phenomenal musicians and singers out there.
I think I’m going to tell you some quirky things about myself so you can get to know me better. I get made fun of all the time, but it doesn’t bother me. It takes quite a lot to get me frazzled. So here you go. Here’s some weird things about me:
- I have never had a piece of pie in my life. (nor do I want to, so don’t cook me one)
- I wear flip flops 95% of the time. (including winter months)
- I am one of the palest people you’ll meet, but when we go to the beach I stay out for 8-9 hours a day. (I end up looking like a lobster)
- I’m actually a pretty good athlete. (probably the best on staff)
- I leave the car running while I pump my gas. (sorry to all of you in law enforcement)
- I’m into hair products. I like to change up mousses every month. (right now I’m using “Tresemme’ Totally Twisted”)
- As soon as I walk in the door to my house, I immediately take off the clothes I’m in and change into Pajama Pants or shorts. (depending on the weather)
- I haven’t had a soft drink in over 5 years. (I still enjoy an occasional sweet tea)
- Sometimes I’ll eat a ‘saltine sandwich’ (saltine crackers in between two pieces of bread)
- I have once poured blue kool-aid in my toilet to make it look like one of those cleaning things. (wish I was kidding)
- Chewed up gum makes me sick. (I can’t stand it when people take their gum out of their mouth and put it on their plate while they eat)
- I don’t mind going to a restaurant and eating by myself. (this includes places like Chili’s, LongHorns, Japanese, anything really)
Well the list goes on and on, but I would be here all day if I tried to tell you all of them. I hope you enjoyed your brief tour of me and my weirdness. Hope to see you Sunday!

I adore your “weirdness”, it makes you who you are, and that’s a pretty cool dude. We all have a little “weirdness” in us. Some of us are just more willing to share it with others.

The saltine sandwich is the strangest thing I have ever heard!!!
I have been sitting here all day wondering how in this world you have not had a single piece of pie?! That is the craziest thing I have ever heard of. God put moms and grandmothers on this earth not only to love on us and spoil us but to make us some pie! I am now wondering if you think you’re cool because you can say you’ve never had any or if you just want to keep your streak going, but you do not know what you’re missing out on. You should break down and have a piece. There’s pecan pie, coconut pie, pumpkin pie, key lime pie, lemon meringue pie, chocolate pie, peach pie, and so on and so on and add a scoop of Breyers vanilla ice cream on top and man it is good!

Jonathan – Don’t worry, I’ll be bald in a few years anyway and I won’t need the hair products anymore.

Donna – It’s only when the groceries are running low.
Chris – There’s a lot of other food I’ve never had that would probably shock you too. (jelly, peach, pineapple, etc.)

personally I like chocolate Godiva mouse. You can probably get it in a pie shape. You might want to apply that to your pasty white chest. I sure hate to admit that I’ve seen it.
